Mexibús transit support for Mexico City Metro Line B suspension, Digi Mart USA News (Estado de México, Mexico): The government of the State of Mexico is joining metropolitan coordination actions to facilitate the transfer of passengers affected by the suspension of service on Line B of the Mexico City Metro, operated by the Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (STC).
The interruption was caused by a fire outside Metro facilities that damaged electrical cabling on the section between the Oceanía and Deportivo Oceanía stations.
As part of these actions, the Red de Transporte de Pasajeros (RTP) of Mexico City is offering free service between the Oceanía and Villa de Aragón stations. Metrobús and Mexibús units are also providing transfer alternatives toward Ciudad Azteca station, as part of coordination between both entities.
For its part, the State of Mexico’s Mexibús Lines 1 and 2 are participating with pink buses and direct routes, including Line 2 service from Las Américas to Metro Nezahualcóyotl, traveling via the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense.
Secretary of Mobility Juan Hugo de la Rosa García reported that transport operators from the Valle de México are also participating in these actions to expand transfer options and meet service demand.
In addition, Secretariat of Mobility personnel will provide guidance to passengers on routes and available transport options.
