Warming is increasing the threat of drought, and territories are not standing idle. On La Réunion, a new water-transfer project aims to better distribute an increasingly scarce resource.

Tropical phenomena are expected to grow in intensity. Cyclone Chido, which devastated Mayotte in 2024, offered a brutal preview, with an unprecedented scale on the island in a very long time.

Sea levels are rising, bringing the risk of flooding to French Polynesia, the Antilles and Miquelon. To counter this threat, elevated construction and even the relocation of residents are planned or already underway.

The danger also reaches below the surface. Coral bleaching and declining fish stocks are weakening marine ecosystems and the activities that depend on them.

The program, hosted by Siti Daroussi in collaboration with the newsrooms of the Réseau des 1ère, will feature guests in the studio and by video link to discuss Météo-France forecasts through 2100, the foreseeable consequences, and the solutions considered or already in operation. Guests include Martinique deputy Marcellin Nadeau, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon deputy Stéphane Lenormand, meteorologist Gaël Musquet, Météo-France forecaster Agathe Drouin, geographer Stéphanie Defossez, and political scientist Camille Mazé Lambrechts.
