Puebla Congress Hosts Mexico-Russia Cultural Concert, Digi Mart USA News (Puebla, Mexico): An encounter was held at the Congress of the State of Puebla to strengthen cultural and academic ties between Mexico and Russia. The musical event was designed as a space for dialogue and artistic exchange, recognizing local and foreign talent and bringing the traditions of both countries closer to society.
The encounter was led by Pável Gaspar Ramírez, president of the Junta de Gobierno y Coordinación Política of the Congress, and by Russian Ambassador to Mexico Nicolay Sofinskiy. In his welcoming remarks, Deputy Gaspar Ramírez highlighted the cultural relationship between Mexico and Russia and the sister-nation bond that supports diplomatic ties and humanist values.
“It is an honor for me to take part in receiving this bicultural encounter between two of the greatest civilizations the world has witnessed: the Russian and the Mexican,” he said. “The enormous geographic distance between the two is inversely proportional to the ideological and political coincidences these two great nations have shown at different stages of their historical development.”
During the artistic and cultural program, traditional dances from Mexico and Russia were performed. A concert was also given by the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory of Moscow and the Benemérito Conservatorio de Música del Estado de Puebla.
Deputies Esther Martínez Romano, Beatriz Manrique Guevara and Gabriela Chumacero Rodríguez, as well as Deputy Jaime Alejandro Aurioles Barroeta, attended the event.
