France condemns new Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilians and critical infrastructure, Digi Mart USA News: France has strongly condemned Russian strikes that hit the Zaporizhzhia oblast on Monday, November 2, repeatedly targeting a school being used as a humanitarian aid center while people were there to receive assistance. The attacks killed more than thirty civilians.
France also condemned massive Russian attacks overnight involving a record 110 missiles fired at Ukraine, mainly targeting energy infrastructure. In Kharkiv, a hospital was hit, leaving more than 70 people injured and 200 patients evacuated.
France said these attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure as winter approaches further illustrate what it called the cynicism of the Kremlin and its total disregard for international humanitarian law. It noted that Russia was able to accept a targeted humanitarian ceasefire in parallel at Olechky, and stressed the need to preserve safe and unimpeded humanitarian access for Ukrainian populations.
France said it is deeply alarmed by the violence of these attacks and expressed its unwavering solidarity with Ukraine. It offered condolences to the families of the victims, wished the injured a speedy recovery, and praised the courage of rescue workers deployed after each strike.
France reaffirmed its determination, alongside its partners, to work toward resolving the conflict, to support Ukraine over the long term, and to increase pressure on Russia to end its war of aggression.
