Normandy high school renovation priority list, Digi Mart USA News (Normandy, France): Based on contributions received through the Agora platform, the French government has chosen to prioritize the renovation of 200 high schools across France. These are the schools that students reported most often.

Seven of them are located in Normandy: two in Eure, two in Seine-Maritime and three in Calvados.

The Agora consultation, titled “Lycéennes, lycéens, vous avez la parole,” was open from October 5 to October 23, 2026, and collected more than 100,000 contributions.

According to Matignon, the Prime Minister asked the Minister of National Education to ensure that a response is provided for the 200 most difficult public high schools identified on the platform, across all categories of reports.

According to information reported by Ouest-France, these schools accounted for 39% of the reports and are therefore considered “priority” for “major renovations where dilapidation and deterioration of sanitary facilities predominate” or for “thermal adaptations (solar protection, ventilation, greening) where heat predominates.”

According to the Prime Minister’s services, as reported by Ouest-France, at the national level “addressing these 200 high schools means responding to more than one in three reports right away, where the problems are most concentrated.”

In Normandy, seven high schools are included in this ranking:

According to the Academy of Normandy, “these reports must be examined with the Normandy Region and the institutions to identify the necessary work.”

To finance these renovations, the Region may apply for the preferential loans announced by the State on Monday, October 26, 2026. The national envelope totals four billion euros.
