Altrad sponsorship of French national rugby team ends in 2027, Digi Mart USA News: The name Altrad will disappear from the France national rugby team jersey. After ten years of collaboration, the Montpellier-based group and the French Rugby Federation (FFR) have decided to end their partnership in mid-2027.
The Altrad name has been a familiar sight on the front of the Les Bleus jersey since 2017, and the company will leave the shirt within the next few months. The group founded by Mohed Altrad officially announced the end of the partnership on Tuesday, without giving reasons for the separation.
In March 2017, Altrad became the first sponsor in history to appear on the front of the Les Bleus jersey. Since then, the group has supported the team through the 2022 Grand Slam and the 2023 World Cup, which was held at home.
Its presence had become almost inseparable from the French jersey over the seasons.
“If this chapter ends today, the pride we feel in having taken part in the history of French rugby will remain intact,” said Mohed Altrad, who wished to thank the FFR and all the players in French rugby. The separation comes a few months before the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The FFR must now find a new partner to replace Altrad on the jersey, but the identity of its successor remains unknown for now.
