Franco Colapinto, USA News (Sao Paulo): Franco Colapinto faces the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix aiming to recover the psychological momentum he built in Mexico, where an on-track eighth-place finish vanished due to a penalty that relegated him to fifteenth and left him without points.

Now, the Alpine driver is preparing for the 20th round of the championship, which will take place this weekend at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, in Sao Paulo.

The Brazilian circuit represents a special challenge for the Argentine, as it will be his third visit, and the previous two did not end in the best way. In 2024, when competing for Williams, he had to retire on lap 32 after suffering a severe accident in the rain.

On that occasion, he lost control of his car, spun, and crashed into the barriers, causing significant damage to the vehicle. A year later, already defending the colors of Alpine, he finished in the fifteenth position.

All the activity for the 20th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season can be followed via Fox Sports and Disney+ Premium.
