Aitana, USA News: During her recent music tour in Mexico, Spanish singer Aitana immersed herself in local traditions by celebrating the traditional Dia de Muertos. On November 1, the artist published an elaborate photographic session on social media to honor the Mexican celebration, presenting a romantic, theatrical, and sophisticated aesthetic.
The White Lace Design by Kris Goyri
For the special occasion, Aitana wore a creation by Mexican designer Kris Goyri that combined delicacy, romance, and sensuality. The centerpiece was a semi-transparent white lace dress featuring a high neckline and intricate floral patterns throughout the garment. The lingerie-inspired fabric provided lightness, contrasting with the intense yellow and orange tones of surrounding flowers reminiscent of traditional Mexican catrinas. Styled by Aine Marco, the presentation drew inspiration from traditional Mexican altars, complete with lit candles and cempasuchil flowers.
Cempasuchil Flowers and Artistic Makeup
Beyond the dress, Aitana underwent a complete beauty transformation. Hair stylist Jesús de Paula created long, dark, wavy hair adorned with large yellow flowers on both sides to frame her face, alongside her signature bangs. Makeup artist Pere de la Rosa applied a delicate white lace-effect decoration around her eyes and mouth, reinterpreting traditional catrina aesthetics with a romantic perspective. Jewelry from Oro de Monte Albán completed the look. Aitana shared that her team and mother helped improvise the photoshoot set, adding a personal touch to her cultural tribute.
