Seahawks vs. Cardinals Week 9 inactives, Digi Mart USA News: NFL teams must submit inactive lists 90 minutes before kickoff, but with seven Seattle players ruled out in this week’s injury report, the Seahawks could have submitted their list on Friday afternoon.
Seattle’s inactives for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals are quarterback Sam Darnold (quadriceps/ribs), left tackle Charles Cross (ankle), left guard Quenton Nelson (knee), defensive tackle Leonard Williams (stinger), outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (ankle), receiver Rashid Shaheed (knee) and nose tackle Brandon Pili (back). Outside linebacker Connor O’Toole, who was listed as questionable with a foot injury, is active, though his status does not guarantee he will play after not practicing all week.
With Williams out, the Seahawks signed rookie nose tackle Deven Eastern from their practice squad to add depth on the defensive line. Seattle also elevated tackle Bobby Hart and receiver Montorie Foster Jr.
from the practice squad to add depth at those positions with Cross and Shaheed sidelined.
Nelson is considered week-to-week and will undergo what head coach Mike Macdonald called a “minor procedure” on his knee. With him out, Grey Zabel moves back to left guard, while Anthony Bradford returns to the starting lineup at right guard.
For the Cardinals, left tackle Jayden Williams (knee), right guard Jon Gaines II (ankle) and running back Bam Knight (concussion) are inactive. Guard Isaiah Adams (ankle), cornerback Max Melton (knee) and defensive tackle Walter Nolen III (ankle) are active after being listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
