Christmas at Kew Gardens London light trail 2026, Digi Mart USA News (London, United Kingdom): One of London’s most sought-after Christmas events is returning. From November 13, 2026 to January 3, 2027, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will transform into an illuminated trail each evening.
This year’s edition includes several installations created specifically for the site. Among the announced highlights are a meadow of light-filled flowers synchronized to music and an animated willow tree inspired by the more than 11,000 trees in Kew’s collections.
Visitors will also find the trail’s familiar features, including illuminated arches, a gingerbread alley, life-size nutcracker figures, a fire garden, and a light show projected onto the Temperate House, the large Victorian greenhouse.
The trail runs from 4:20 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Tickets start at £25.23 for adults and £20 for children, and children under four are admitted free. Two evenings are reserved for adults only, on Thursday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 9.
Quiet sessions for visitors with invisible or visual disabilities are scheduled for November 21, December 1, December 16 and December 26.
Because the most popular time slots tend to sell out quickly, visitors are advised to book early through the Kew Gardens website. Proceeds support the scientific work of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
