Boston weather forecast for Patriots Game Day, Digi Mart USA News (Boston): A quiet stretch of weather is expected through Thursday, though forecasters are watching a Friday coastal storm that could bring more rain. The weekend began soggy, with most areas picking up 2 to 5 inches of rain through Saturday morning and some isolated spots receiving 6 to 7 inches.

Sunday starts with a few passing light showers very early in the day. The weather will then turn quite gusty through the mid-afternoon, with wind gusts that could reach over 30 mph.

Temperatures slowly climb to the mid-50s in the afternoon.

For fans tailgating before the Patriots game, conditions will be cool, windy and basically dry. The winds are expected to relax during the evening game as temperatures fall into the 40s.

Monday could bring a few spotty light showers with highs back in the mid-50s. After that, a stretch of seasonably cool and dry days is expected through Thursday.

Looking further ahead, a coastal storm should develop Friday and last into Saturday. Forecasters expect chilly, rainy and breezy conditions at this point.

The system has some wintry precipitation potential, but because it is still six to seven days away, considerable uncertainty remains about how high that potential is, and forecasters advise staying tuned for updates.
