Cold front and trough bring heavy rain to Mexico on November 5, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico City, CDMX): According to a report from El Congresista, a cold front and an upper-level trough are forecast to bring intense rainfall to various regions of Mexico on November 5, 2026. Weather conditions will vary, with clear skies expected in some areas while strong precipitation is anticipated in the southeast and northeast.

The upper-level trough will mainly affect the western and southern regions of Mexico. This system will interact with moisture coming from both coasts of the country, producing significant rainfall.

Guerrero and southwestern Oaxaca are expected to be particularly affected, with showers that could disrupt traffic in Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán.

The State of Mexico and Morelos will also experience showers throughout the day. In the northeast, cold front number 4 will extend and interact with a low-pressure channel located in the east and southeast.

This is expected to generate intense precipitation in northern Tamaulipas, as well as in southern Veracruz and Chiapas, where intermittent showers are forecast.

Isolated rains of lesser intensity are expected in Tabasco and the Yucatán Peninsula. Meanwhile, an anticyclonic circulation in the mid-levels of the atmosphere will maintain stable conditions in the northwest of the country, where there is little chance of rain.

The states that make up the Mesa del Norte will enjoy dry and clear weather.

Meteorological authorities will continue monitoring conditions and recommend that the public stay alert to weather warnings and possible changes in the forecast.
