Air France-KLM third-quarter 2026 results, Digi Mart USA News: Air France-KLM published solid results for the third quarter of 2026 on November 5, 2026, according to a report from PNC Contact. The group posted an adjusted operating result of 1,346 million euros, an increase of 126 million euros compared with the third quarter of 2025, for an operating margin of 13.6 percent, up 0.3 points.
Group revenue reached 9.916 billion euros, up 7.6 percent, or 12.3 percent at constant exchange rates. The report attributes this growth to resilient demand, the continued push toward premium offerings, and solid commercial execution across the Passage network, where unit revenue rose 6.9 percent, and the Cargo division, where unit revenue rose 21.9 percent at constant exchange rates.
The group carried 29.7 million passengers, an increase of 1.8 percent. Capacity grew 1.3 percent and traffic grew 0.9 percent, while the load factor remained high at 88.4 percent, down 0.4 points.
Group unit revenue per available seat kilometer stood at 9.70 euro cents, up 7.0 percent at constant exchange rates.
Cargo was a standout performer, with total revenue rising 25.2 percent, supported by robust demand, including demand linked to maritime disruptions and certain logistics needs. The report notes that fuel costs were affected by the geopolitical context during the third quarter of 2026.
Unit costs nevertheless remained nearly stable, rising 0.1 percent at constant fuel prices, exchange rates and excluding the EU emissions trading system, according to the report. The report attributes this to operational discipline, efficiency gains from new-generation aircraft and strict expense management.
Higher unit revenue more than offset the impact of fuel.
Group chief executive Benjamin Smith, as cited in the report, highlighted the resilience of the business model, solid demand in strategic markets, and the benefits of the premium strategy at Air France, the targeted deployment of Transavia, and the contribution of cargo. He also referred to progress in the transformation of KLM and the importance of continued disciplined execution.
The report states that these results confirm the group’s ability to generate value in an environment marked by fuel price volatility and geopolitical uncertainty, while continuing to renew its fleet and strengthen its balance sheet.
