Gard orange weather alert heavy rain, Digi Mart USA News (Gard, France): Météo-France has placed the Gard department in orange vigilance for rain-flooding on Thursday, November 5, 2026, as a Mediterranean weather episode currently affects the region. The episode is less intense than previous ones, according to the source.
According to the latest bulletin from the forecasting agency, rain systems will continue to organize throughout the day, with heavier totals concentrated along the coastal part of the department. Between 70 and 100mm of water are expected by Thursday evening.
Météociel forecasts that the Rhône side of Gard will be more affected than the coast. Totals of around 80mm are projected along an axis running from Beaucaire to Bagnols, passing through Laudun-l’Ardoise, far more than in the Cévennes, Petite Camargue or on the seafront.
The rainfall episode is expected to continue through the day before weakening and dissipating during the night from Thursday to Friday. A lull is expected on Friday and Saturday, followed by a probable return of precipitation as early as Sunday.
