Letras en San Luis Literary Festival, Digi Mart USA News (San Luis Potosí, Mexico): Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos presented the 19th edition of the Letras en San Luis festival to the media in Mexico City. The event will run from November 23 to 27 and will bring together prominent national and international writers.
Galindo said the edition arrives at a significant moment for the city’s cultural life. San Luis Capital holds three recognitions linked to UNESCO: City of Heritage, City of Learning and Creative City of Literature.

Participating writers in attendance included Spanish author José María Micó, Mexican writers Ana García Bergua, Francisco Hinojosa, Rafael Pérez Gay and David Toscana, and San Luis Potosí writer Socorro Venegas.
The festival’s international dimension includes authors from five countries. Mexico will be represented by Gonzalo Celorio, Aura García-Junco, Verónica Llaca, Carlos René Padilla and Eduardo Antonio Parra.
Spain will send Luis Alberto de Cuenca and Rosa Montero, Colombia will send Piedad Bonnett, Argentina will send Martín Kohan, and Cuba will send Elaine Vilar Madruga.
The mayor said the event will feature authors of recognized prestige and an inclusion policy so that blind or visually impaired people can enjoy the activities through audio description resources. He added that the festival also helps maintain and strengthen San Luis Capital’s designation as a Creative City of Literature.
Galindo Ceballos said the festival’s appeal extends beyond the local area, attracting visitors from across Mexico and abroad, who will also be able to explore the city’s historical, architectural, gastronomic and cultural richness. Activities will take place from November 23 to 27 in various venues throughout the San Luis Potosí capital.
