Sheinbaum said progress is visible in indicators of reduced high-impact crimes and in ongoing collaboration with various sectors of Michoacán society. She also cited education figures, including the number of children and young people in school and students advancing from preparatory to university, or from secondary to preparatory school, attributed to scholarships being provided.

“Hemos avanzado, por supuesto que tenemos que seguir trabajando,” she said, adding that the most important goal is for the people of Michoacán to know that the Mexican government is present in all of the state’s municipalities.
