Volvo Car México Tops Premium Segment in J.D. Power 2026 APEAL Study, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Volvo Car México earned first place among premium-segment brands in the 2026 J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study for Mexico.
The Swedish brand scored 927 points, above the luxury market average of 908 points.
The study measures customers’ emotional connection and enthusiasm for their vehicles across ten evaluation areas, including design, performance and safety. It also assesses the level of satisfaction these elements generate in everyday driving experience.
Overall, the study collected opinions from 9,344 customers who own vehicles from model years 2023 to 2025. Responses were gathered between December 2025 and August 2026.
Volvo Car México described the recognition as especially meaningful because it comes from the experience of people who choose and drive its cars. The company said the result aligns with the brand’s philosophy of putting people at the center and developing products that respond to their needs and those of their families.
“Receiving this recognition based on the opinion of our customers has a very special meaning for us. At Volvo, we seek for every person and their family to feel safe, comfortable and supported on their journeys.
Knowing that they enjoy their cars and value the driving experience motivates us to keep working with that purpose,” said Raymundo Cavazos, General Director of Volvo Car México.
Volvo’s design approach combines aesthetics and functionality. Its Scandinavian heritage is expressed in interior spaces that prioritize comfort, intuitive controls and attention to detail that address the needs of life on board.
With this first-place result, Volvo Car México said it values its customers’ confidence and views their feedback as a guide for continuing to evolve its premium offering, with safety and care for people as the starting point.
