Los Juegos del Hambre re-release in Mexican cinemas, Digi Mart USA News (Mexico): Cinépolis will screen all five films of The Hunger Games franchise again beginning Thursday, November 12, as preparation for the premiere of Sunrise on the Reaping, according to the publisher’s report.
The chain’s schedule, available on its website, initially listed only some of the films, but the lineup now includes the first film and the 2023 prequel. Viewers will be able to revisit the story that began with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games.
The re-release covers the five productions released so far. Four films starring Jennifer Lawrence are included, along with the first prequel, which centers on the origins of President Coriolanus Snow.
The films returning to theaters are The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014), The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (2015), and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2023). The first film introduces Katniss Everdeen, a young woman from District 12 who volunteers as tribute in place of her sister Prim.
The five films will be available at Cinépolis from Thursday, November 12, through Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Showtimes vary by day and film, so audiences should check each theater’s listings.
Tickets can be purchased through Cinépolis’s official website.
The report does not confirm whether other exhibitors will also screen the films. The re-release comes ahead of Sunrise on the Reaping, the next film in the franchise, based on Suzanne Collins’s novel of the same name.
Its Mexican premiere is scheduled for November 20, 2026.
The story follows a young Haymitch Abernathy during the Second Quarter Quell, a special edition of the competition with twice the usual number of tributes. The cast is led by Joseph Zada as Haymitch and Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, with Ralph Fiennes returning as Coriolanus Snow and Jesse Plemons as a young Plutarch Heavensbee.
