Baptiste Veistroffer cycling fundraiser Cambodia Vietnam, Digi Mart USA News: Baptiste Veistroffer, the cyclist nicknamed the “sanglier de Fouesnant” and a fan favorite from the Tour de France, is planning a 2,500-kilometer cycling trip between Cambodia and Vietnam during November. Like last year, when he explored Thailand, he is using his vacation to travel by bicycle.
The Lotto-Intermarché rider has set himself the challenge to discover these countries while also raising money for a charity. Speaking on the RMC podcast Peloton, Veistroffer said he would ride for Molembike, an association that works for social cohesion through cycling.
The rider, who discovered the Tour de France during the summer of 2026, aims to raise 5,000 euros to be donated to the association. His team sponsor, Lotto, will contribute 1 euro per kilometer, and equipment maker Ekoi will do the same.
“The association promotes cycling and helps people with low incomes in disadvantaged neighborhoods gain mobility by bicycle,” Veistroffer explained. “So it combines several things for a good cause in the end.”
The cyclist, whose profile is unusual, does not follow the usual path. While most riders in the peloton spend their winter training at altitude, he will be on the other side of the world, pedaling with bags on his bike for a good cause.
He finds the situation amusing: “What’s interesting is that I won’t create much mental fatigue. I won’t have the routine.
It’s an underestimated load during winter. I’ll be in a pleasant climate to ride, around 28 degrees.
I’ll discover incredible parts of the world. On a bike, I discover much more.”
